>> Theoretical physics [It would be a lifelong ambition of mine to study the field of theoretical physics. My unbearable gravitation towards theoretical physics is its aim to unravel the universe. Two of my favorite authors who have published books for the laymen in the area of theoretical physics are Michio Kaku and Brian Greene. In Kaku's books, he talks about how the Holy Grail of physics is to find a theory that would explain everything—naturally named, Theory of Everything (TOE). It is this TOE that Einstein himself died trying to discover. The problem in theoretical physics for the last century has focused on how to explain the very large such as galaxies, universes, and planets, and how to explain the very small such as atoms, protons, neutrons, electrons, and quarks. In the past, Einstein's General Relativity was able to explain the very large, but was not applicable to the very small; likewise, a new radical theory such as quantum mechanics was able to explain the very small but not the very large; the very large was governed by deterministic relationships while the very small was ruled by probabilistic relationships. As explained by Kaku and Greene, both large and small can be explained and brought into harmony with String Theory; if successful downstream, this would ultimately become the TOE. The implications of TOE has serious implications for humanity, since unlocking the universe could allow humanity to act in either to harm or help progress the world]
>> Graphic Design [I have been designing graphics for over 2 years now. Graphics design allows for some unreal representation and modeling of reality, as well as other practical purposes. In my experience, I have used Photoshop for image manipulations and Maya for 3D modeling. My work with image manipulations include applying filters, cleaning distorted pictures, and constructing animated GIFs. Most of this work was personal, and I have also kept a portfolio on a personal website that I created. In my work with 3D modeling, I have made some naïve but beautiful and complex rendering of the solar system and short 3D animation clips.]
>> Music [Combination of science and art. Most people would classify music as an art form, but studying music since I was in second grade, I have come to understand that music has mathematical foundations. In fact, I have discovered that the artistic harmony exhibited by music has been purported to be provable using math. Moreover, complex compositions by great classical musicians have some rather elegant mathematical properties. Putting the complicated aspects of music aside, I have played the violin for nearly a decade and am starting to pick up the guitar]
Tennis >> I love watching (favorite players: Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Andy Roddick, Marat Safin, and Kei Nishikori to name a few) and playing.
Volleyball >> Played consistently in K-12 years, not so much anymore but will always have an affinity towards to sport.
Music >> I love listening to: Jason Mraz, John Mayer, Dave Matthews Band, Iron & Wine, The Script, The Eagles, Pink Floyd, Tupac, Notorious B.I.G., Sublime, RHCP, Guns'n'Roses, Lifehouse, King's of Leon, Jason Reeves, Train, Switchfoot, John Legend, Alicia Keys, Celine Dion, and Mariah Carey to name a few. >> When i get tired of all that, i always go back to the oldies: J.S. Bach, W.A. Mozart, Pachelbel, Li Jie, Chopin, and or any instrumentals/solos.
